From the forest

A short story about the journey from log to furniture.

This is a small log from the koa forest on Big Island, which I picked out for milling.

A year later in my shop, the slabs are stacked and dried.

Here they are all cut to shape for future small coffee tables. I have finished two tables so far from this log. I used the top three pieces in the stack for them.
